Previous Projects
The Buzz Club has undertaken a variety of projects since we started in 2015, all with the help of our volunteers. Some projects ran for a year, or are currently on hiatus for data analysis, and these are listed here. We may start some of these up again - so if you are interested in any of them, or have any questions, let us know!
The first project run by the Buzz Club, using 'pan traps' to measure the presence and abundance of garden pollinators nationwide.

Pollination by insects is vital for growing many of our crops - including household favorities and garden varieties. This project investigated urban pollinators, garden crop yields, and common pest problems.
A Brighton & Hove based project aiming to empower those with balconies and window boxes to help and study pollinators.

Preventing slugs (and snails) from nibbling on plants is a age-old gardening problem. This project looked at some of the most popular alternative methods of keeping molluscs at bay.

Can painted stones help defend your strawberries from hungry birds? This project looked into a home remedy for pecked fruit, to see if a little stone art can deter birds.
